Ban Heong Seng Restaurant

Recommendations from friends about this restaurant in JB. So got Hubby and Jayden to make a trip on a Saturday during one of the long weekend. The place was relatively easy to find but we were stuck at the causeway for 3 hours.
We finally got there at 12pm. We were the only family there. Checked with the boss, she said usually there are more diners during dinner.

Went for dinner at the above on 12th October 2009 with Hubby (without Jayden). Just dinner for the 2 of us. Saw 2 groups of diner who brought along their toddlers. Both toddlers were younger than Jayden. This is our 2nd time there. The first time should in in 2007 before I got pregnant with Jayden.

Verdict : Teppanyaki still not fantastic. Probably not coming back anymore!!!

Lao Zhong Zhong Five Spice Stall

This stall used to be located at Jackson Food Centre. The ngor hiang was served piping hot. But the last time I bought it, it did seem to me that they had fried it again. It tasted abit different though. The chilli was just as nice.

Braised Duck Rice - Hup Seng Duck Rice

Dac had first brought me to try the Bak Ku Teh at Block 22 but I had actually fallen in love with the Salted Vegetable Duck Soup at this store instead. I had gone back numerous times for the soup. It is sour and that is what is call good Salted Vegetable Duck Soup. The Braised Duck here is also pretty nice.

Bak Ku Teh - Sin Ming Road

Not a big fan of Bak Ku Teh though. I find the soup too peppery to my liking. What amazes me is the size of the pork rib. I call them "Flintstones". Brought my parents there and they liked it too.
